香港大學生物科學學院盧思聰博士所率領的研究團隊，在高粱中發現了一種名為二苯乙烯 O-甲基化的新型酶 （SbSOMT），可以合成O-甲基化二苯乙烯類化合物。這一發現有望為研發出以更低成本生產該類化合物提出新方向，推動其功能性食品、營養保健品和藥品的開發和發展。
